Title: Entry Door Electrical Contacts
Post by: Pat Long on March 23, 2018, 08:32:44 PM
On the hinge side of my Entry door is a spring loaded 4 contact electrical system.  One on the hinge and one on the Entry door itself.  What is the purpose of the contacts?

The contacts are for the power and ground circuit for the electric actuator for the slide lock for your front door that was designed to be used with the keyless entry system, but on your coach it probably works with the cargo bay lock switch also when the door is closed.

My cargo lock switch is on the entry wall as you walk up the stairs.   I can lock the bays with door open or closed, closing the door has no effect.  Pulled the hinge side contact and it does have two wires connected but no power to either side?
