Title: Dometic 3110 toilet
Post by: Paul Champagne on March 26, 2018, 10:35:09 PM
Hello seem to be having an issue when flushing the toilet no water is coming into the bowl unless i turn on the bathroom faucet then water will come in have tried to reset the circuit board but nothing happens.

Almost feels like an airlock but obvisouly not as it will fill when the tap runs any suggestions??

Thanks Paul

There are always some very interesting problems on this forum. I can't wait to find out what is going on with your system.

I have a manual on the toilet, but it is too large to attach. If you want a copy PM me (also there may be a copy in the Members tech section). However nothing in the troubleshooting section deals with your situation.

I would double check the shutoff valves (that nothing is closed or partially closed for the bathroom) located in the wet bay - while waiting for someone to come back with the solution to your problem.

Good luck.

I don't know your toilet from Adam, but I have a question (our toilet is a Magnum Opus).  The toilet bowl will fill when the faucet is turned on - Yes?  My question is will the toilet bowl continue to fill if you turn the faucet off while the toilet is filling after having had the faucet on to start the bowl filling?

Paul, do you have the Techma toilet and if so do you have the manual?
Here is a side bar;
We go to a shop with high water pressure in their small RV park associated to the shop.  I have a regulator to put on because the ice maker and the tank fill would suddenly quit.  Any chance the regulator built into the toilet is over pressure or just weak from use?
Maybe try turning off city water and running a tap for a minute to relieve pressure then using the fresh water tank.  Do you have the same problem?

Hi Keith

I thought about that but I do have a pressure regulator and I tried just running off the pump with the fresh water tank and still no water unless I turn on the fawcet so I am at as hear.When you hit the switch to dunp the circuit board lights up so there is a signal going to the board I guess I can go back to the wet bay and check the valves but i am sure that is not it also with the tap on and fill the tank that also wont work only when it flushes.The toilet is a Dometic Sealand model 3110 I think it is the circuit board...just guessing

Paul,
Your problem certainly sounds like a pressure sensor issue. My recommendation would be to call technical assistance (customer support) at Sealand/Dometic. There may be a solution short of replacing the very expensive circuit board in your toilet.

Gerald is sure right about that board being expensive. There is a used on for sale in the "For Sale" section. http://beaveramb.org/forum/index.php/topic,7500.0.html
