I need to replace the shocks on our '05 PT 42', Roadmaster M05S chassis.
Can anyone give me a part number for the correct shock for that chassis? I have called suppliers and I keep getting different part numbers. I would like to have the Koni part number so I know that I am getting prices on the same product. Thanks for the help.
(on edit) Also, other than the usual problems getting the shock bolts out, is there any access problem replacing the shocks?

Don't you have the Roadmaster "M10S" (10 air bag, S-series) chassis?
I saved this info for my coach (a '05 PT 42ft).
Even though the ad says "8 air bag", it is the same for 10 air bag (the other two bags being for the Tag).

The only reference to it I've found states a M10S M series. Not sure.
Thanks for the info.

M10S is correct.
The chassis designation/naming is pretty confusing. From what I've read, the "M" is for "semi-Monocoque chassis" or "Magnum", the "10" is for 10 airbags, and the "S" is for "S side radiator" or "Semi-Monocoque" (depending on who you ask).
I'm still learning about all this - so someone here with more knowledge may jump in.
I've read the Koni shocks are "double acting" and the Bilsteins are "single acting" which explains the cost difference.
I don't know if this is true or not, but those that installed the Koni's like them.

If I install the Koni shocks, am I going to run into any modifications to the mounts? Or will it just be the usual tight bolt issues?

Bill, you will absolutely love the new ride after you have your install done. We just had Konis installed on all corners on our 02 Marquis and the ride is amazing!!!!! Safe travels and good luck!
