Title: coolant overflow tank question
Post by: Jeff Wheless on June 07, 2018, 09:05:21 PM
I am replacing my coolant expansion tank on a 1999 Beaver Marquis.

Upon inspection of the installation, it does not look like I have a coolant overflow tank.     My understanding is that the non-pressurized overflow tank should be connected to the line that is coming off the radiator cap throat.   If so, that line is just dumping to the ground.

Much appreciated if someone can confirm that the overflow tank should be connected to the line coming off the radiator cap throat.

By the way, the expansion tank replacement from Brassworks is amazing.   Great piece of kit that is priced between the plastic and metal tank options.   The plastic tanks are rather spendy these days and as well not sure if they are NOS or new manufacture.

Jeff, yes, the overflow line connects to the recovery tank. Here is a link that may help.http://beaveramb.org/forum/index.php/topic,1170.msg7503.html#msg7503 Hope this helps.
