Title: Care free over the entry door awning help

I have a carefree over the door awning model #4654 that is in operable.
It has a key that you turn on and then a switch to extend it. I assume the motor is fried so I ordered a replacement from BCS.
Has anyone changed out the motor? How do I get the thing open to begin with?
Any help will be appreciated.

I just finished installing mine today it’s not a fun job the only way I could do it was disassemble it and reassemble it will take you some time
