Title: e-Grab handle is dead...fuse?
Post by: Chuck Jackson on June 29, 2018, 02:49:47 PM
Nothing on my e-Grab handle is working. Does anyone know if there is a main fuse for the handle and if so, which one is it? There is no label in the electrical bay that mentions anything about the grab handle that I could see.

Chuck,
The fuse is at the controller. If your coach is wired like mine, the controller is accessible by removing the access panel on the top of the dash above the instrument panel. My controller was behind the coiled up CB antenna cable (I looked a couple of times before I realized it was hidden behind the cable). The controller is a PC board with a cover  ~4x4". Wires to it are multicolored ~18awg.
If it's not there, check behind the panels in the magazine rack. I've seen them there also.

Mine is also located behind the dashboard. The access panel has 2 screws and is easily removed.

Ok, I did find the controller and the 5 amp fuse under the dash (thanks again!) and the fuse is good. I removed the fuse to see if it might reset something but it didn't. I also double checked that the key fob locks/unlocks as it should. I *think* the metal housing around the keypad felt warm...even a tad bit warmer than the top of the handle housing so I left it unplugged from the controller and will check it again later. I'm guessing I may need a new keypad.... >:(
