Title: Replacing the toilet
Post by: Marty and Suzie Schenck on August 05, 2018, 06:33:33 PM
Has anyone on the forum  replaced their Sealand Magnum Opus electronic toilet and gone back to the Sealand  510H with the sprayer? My wife and I do not like this toilet and much prefer the one in our 2002 Thunder (along with my other things that Monaco choose not to use). Reason I ask is, if you have, what kind of trouble or not that you ran into.
Thanks, Marty

When the control circuit board failed on our 06 PT Sealand toilet Dometic said they don't support that model anymore so I got the new model which I believe was a Dometic 4400 electric flush model. I could have bought a much cheaper model but didn't want to go that route which wouldn't look too good on resale.

Look into the 'tecma'  (I may have spelled it wrong).

I too preferred the pit toilet style but this change made it so the  black tank could be moved.  The Tecma is used first on the 07 and has many features not available before like water usage adjustment for Dry camping.  It still uses more water because it has to flush to the tank but the built in mascerator is great.

Sealand Magnum Opus electronic toilet

Marty, is the circuit board still good?
If yes, I may be interested in buying it from you as a spare - if you want to sell.

I'm told these boards are hard to get now.
PM me if you have one to sell.
Thanks.
