Title: 1991 Beaver Contessa Control Panel Amp readout
Post by: Jason Worman on August 07, 2018, 05:25:54 AM
Endless questions ;)

So on our control panel above the door, the 12 VDC amp number is often double zeros with a negative sign. What does this mean? I know a positive number means its charging and a negative number means its using battery voltage. Just wondering about the negative zeros. Thanks

Jason, I don't know what monitoring system you have so I can't offer any suggestions.

But I'm wondering if the display is always showing "00" or will it display "numbers" if you turn on a bunch of 12V items to put a load on batteries. If it's always showing 00 I would suspect the DC monitoring probe (or fuse) is faulty. For example, on the Aladdin monitoring system there is a fuse in the 12VDC monitoring line that could be blown.
