I searched previous posts and saw where some have added a 2nd monitor to display the backup camera and use the original monitor for the Aladdin system displays. I can't find any posts on how the setup was done. I found the video feed from the camera to the Aladdin system. Is splitting that feed (above the driver in the cabinet) and running a new cable to the dash how it's done? Thanks in advance!

On mine, the camera had a separate connection to the back of the Aladdin monitor. I installed a separate screen and moved the connection from the back of the Aladdin monitor to the new screen.

My 2007 Patriot Thunder came with a navigation system that can no longer have the software updated (but it woks fine). I took the backup camera feed and put it into the navigation unit. The original navigation unit uses a seperate video input so I can still use that if I want. My Aladdin data can still be displayed on the original radio/DVD screen so I have not lost any information.

Thanks guys! I was hoping the feeds to the original dash monitor/radio were separate from the Aladdin. I'd like to keep the rear camera on all the time, but also keep the system monitoring visible as well. Roy, I appreciate the photo too. That's how I'd like to set mine up.

I have a separate screen for just the backup camera and the Aladdin system working at the same time. I started this project because the old Sony screen for the Aladdin had stopped working and I found a replacement screen during the process of installing the new screen I thought I should be able to install a second screen just for the backup camera. It was a pretty simple project I just had to install a splitter plug coming from the Aladdin brain video port and run one to the Aladdin screen and one to the new screen the Aladdin screen shows everything and the new screen shows only the backup camera
