Title: Front door inflatable seal replacement?
Post by: Kathleen Schell on September 25, 2018, 03:49:02 PM
Our new to us 2006 Monterey front door air inflatable seal was cut by previous owner and we have found and received a replacement seal. Does anyone have experience replacing this seal?  Was it a DYI project or does it require a RV shop or perhaps a body shop to replace?  Not sure if it requires a door or door frame removal.  Any ideas would be appreciated.

I have not had the pleasure of replacing the door seal, but from looking at the one on my 06 Patriot Thunder the seal is held in place by a channel in the door frame. I think if you try and pull out your seal you will see how it is held in place as long as somebody hasn't glued it down.

a good suggestion might be talk to parts at BCS.  I think there is a sealant needed and they would have it and information while you are at it.
Hope you post your result here too.
