Title: DOOR SPRUNG
Post by: KC Snellgrove on August 07, 2019, 05:21:15 AM
Hello fellow Beavers. I have an issue with my door. I have asked, but nobody is fessing up on where or not they backed into the door. Besides who is guilty (giggles) what can I do. The door shuts, but the bottom (non hinge side) is about 1/2 inch out of alignment - SPRUNG. Any thoughts of how I can get it re-aligned? Who would you recommend? THANK YOU, KC

Try putting a wedge-shaped block of wood in the lower hinge area then using some force to push the door closed (or open - which ever way is opposite of the "sprung") that will usually work to tweak the door back into position. I have done this many times on automotive doors (although those are built a little stouter). It doesn't take a lot of force.

Mike THANK YOU. Your response reminds me of what my Father would have told me. Simple, easy and efficient!
