Title: Front Hub Cap Needed
Post by: Laurence Mitchell on August 07, 2019, 01:53:23 PM
I have a 2000 Marquis and I'm in need of a replacement front hub cap.  I believe they are called baby moon hub covers.  Anyone have a link where I can purchase two?  I've looked at truck stops and they do not have the proper size. TIA for your help!

You can get them by calling Monaco parts in indiana, that's where I got one. And the R roadmaster decal for the center of the baby moon. Northwest RV supply in Eugene Or might also carry them. Make sure you order the same as yours, as to the number of 'fingers' or whatever its called, the thing that holds the cap to the wheel, I think mine had 5 fingers. (fingers is not the right term, but someone here will offer up the correct term)

Laurence,
If I remember correctly, the front baby moons on the 2000 have the open center to access the bearing lube cap. I got those also from Monaco about 10 years ago. If they've stopped carrying them you may want to try NW RV Supply in OR or BCS.

I had to purchase one and called Beaver Coach in Bend then sent me one. I cannot recall how much, but it was reasonable. They include a RoadMaster decal.

Steve,  You are correct that the center is open.  Do that had a small full moon for the open center or is that the way it's supposed to be on our coach?

I don't know where you can buy them since a friend of mine with a trucking company got mine for me, but they are Roadmaster P/N CG205H-1 (Chrome Front Hub Cap w/6 multi notch cut out).  I don't even know how much they cost since he insisted on giving them to me.  You may be able to do a internet search to locate them.  I am fairly lucky as my buddy can find almost everything I have ever needed and much cheaper than I can buy it for.

I just bought two for my 2001 Contessa. They don't have the center hole but are a great fit.

Grand General 10660 Chrome Universal Front Hub Cap with 5/8" lip and 6 uneven notches.

Got on Amazon (Jacks Chrome Shop is the vendor)-  2 for $13.99

If you know the size you need, you can try "Anything Truck". I've bought from them several times. The prices are good and they carry name-brand products.
