Title: Pink Ceiling Stains, is there a fix?
Post by: Lonne Mays on September 28, 2019, 04:23:32 PM
Our 99 Contessa has large areas of the ceiling vinyl that has stained pink.  It is not on the surface, as it will not clean off even with bleach.  I believe it is a reaction (over time and in high humidity) with the glue with which the foam-backed ceiling vinyl is adhered to the ceiling.   Anyone else have this happen?  Anyone figure out a fix (besides tearing it all out)?

Maybe you can find vinyl dye to match. Upholstery shops?

I drove our old Monterey to a carpet cleaning shop.  After they cleaned the carpet, I asked them to look at some ceiling stains.  They had a variety of chemicals in bottles and found one that worked.
