Title: CABLE TV HOOKUP
Post by: Steve Glaser on March 04, 2020, 07:06:51 PM
We have installed a new smart TV that is cable ready in the Beast. Do we need a cable box to hook up to campgrounds that have cable service? Our satellite set up is old in our 2005 Santiam and we're not looking to go that route. Thanks for your help!

Steve, You will not need a cable box, with your smart TV go into setting/menu and select the source which will be air/antenna or cable and HDMI and maybe USB, select cable and let it run through the find channels  program and you should be good to go.

Steve, The booster switch has to be in the off position. This device looks like a standard wall switch plate with a red or green LED on when the micro switch is turned on. It is also an "either or" switch. On for when the TV antenna is up and you are looking for local channels and OFF when connected to campground cable TV. Then do what Lee said. Go to your menu on your tv and choose channels set up and select "cable TV" and do a channel search. Hope this helps, Fred
