Title: Smaller burner only lighting 3 gas jets
Post by: Jason Worman on April 12, 2020, 05:07:01 PM
Happy Easter,

So we are cooking more at home now with the shelter in place order and have noticed on the smaller burner on the gas stove when it ignites only 4 of the burner jets light. We can use a lighter to light all the other jets just fine. Once the burner is all lit, flame is a solid blue. Any thoughts on this? We have a 2 burner Gaggenau stove top.

Thanks
Jason Worman

Jason,
Sounds like the burner jets needed cleaning. Unscrew the burner give it a good cleaning.

Jason, The removable ceramic burner has a detent that it fits into to lay flush or maybe a toothpick to clean out the small holes? Fred

Wave your hand sideways around the outside of the burner to move the gas from the non-burning area towards the burning areas.  Just create a little wind to mix up the propane with the air and move it towards the flame.  I have had to do this on bbqs and campstoves to get them lit all around the burners.
