Low air alarm not working. Any suggestions?

I am pretty sure that all the Safety system alarms run thru the ground wire that is tied into the park brake. The chassis schematic would may be a good place to look. Hope this helps, Fred

Any idea where the buzzer is located? I’m thinking under the dash.

It's hard to find any wiring diagrams for the "chassis side" (the House 120VAC side is readily available).
I found a component location diagram for a 1995+ Patriot, but I don't know for sure this is same for your '98.
Your Patriot has air-over-hydraulic brakes - correct?

The 95 Patriot had few simulates to the 98 Patriot. The 95 Patriot was on a Spartan chassis with drum air brakes and was an original Beaver designed coach, but the 96 to 2002 Patriot is an SMC design on a Magnum chassis.

Not sure about the buzzer location but the low air pressure switch is located on the top side of the upper air tank at the rear of the coach behind the batteries it's easier to access from under the bed the switch is about two inches around .
The switch has two wires simply connect them and the buzzer should sound.
It's quite common for these switch's to fail.

Eric...found the sending unit...has tape on the wires, so it has been worked on before. Couldn’t reach it to test but when I touched the wires the low air alarm went off. Will have to pull the batteries to fix. Thanks. Marc

It's a lot easier to reach from under the bed you shouldn't have to take out the batteries
The switch should be readily available at you local truck parts store if I remember rightly it a halidex part.

Gentlemen, replacement of pressure switch my suggestion take bad pressure with you going to parts store.
The reason there are pressure switches with negative ground and positive ground. This can be a very timely
repair because both switches look the same but work different. Dave Atherton Retired Cat Mechanic

David makes a good point it never a bad idea to take the old part with you to the parts store
The low air pressure switch should be a two wire switch (isolated single pole switch)
It will be normally closed and opens at approx 60PSI minimum.
I believe the one your looking at is a Halidex BE13241
Make sure that whatever you get that it is a low pressure switch and not a brake light switch as they may look the same but as Dave said they work differently.

Our '95 Patriot has the buzzer mounted behind the driver's sidewall, just forward of the seat.
