   Laurence,
Check the breaker at the pedestal first, (these take the most abuse) check your 50amp to 30amp adapter (these fail because you give up 70 amps trying to power up the coach). Check the transfer switch which allows shore power to come into the coach. (your generator side of the switch is operational) If you can, temporarily move to another site to plug into to divide an conquer the issue. Hope this helps, Fred

Thanks, Fred.  We concluded it was a fault at the post.  Because we really needed power, we decided to bail and once home and plugged into our 20 amp circuit found all is well.

I’ve run into bad park power often enough to have made, as others here have, a device for testing posts before we plug in.  It can involve problems more hazardous than just missing power.  It’s been posted here in the past, but if needed I can locate and repost photos of it and guidance.

I for one would love to see and hear about your park power tester.

You will have to zoom in, to read text and my handwritten notes, after tapping each image.  I had to compress the images to fit here, losing some resolution in the process.  I don’t recall the site where I came across the guide, but googling its title may provide anyone interested with a fresh, printable one.

Obviously I made my own modifications, using a digital voltmeter rather than analog, and a different pigtail assembly.  I made this some years ago and probably actually used it only a few times because illnesses have kept us home bound.  So my apologies if my memory of it’s exact assembly fails any member with further questions, but I’ll try.  As I remember, another member made one, albeit a bit different... Steve?

The contraption fits nicely in a 5qt Homz Storage Box, and that tucks in with other accessories in the power cord bay.

Joel, Eric,
Here's one I put together and sold on ebay for a while.
