While taking off the old out of date datron dish I found a steel plate under the dish with only two screws holding it to the roof. It leaked on the floor while I was pressure washing the area. The power cable and coax were on top of the roof and went thru the roof in the front cap but when I took the plate off under the dish I found another set of power cables and a coax tucked inside. The holes in the roof under the steel plate were made with a 1" spade bit. the holes were side by side creating a hole 1" across and 2" long. I sanded the fiberglass around the holes and cut a new flat plate to cover the holes. I had some spray adhesive to glue the plate to the fiberglass roof. Then I covered it with Dicor one sided tape with a scrim on top then coated the repair with dicor elastomeric coating for fiberglass roof. I will add two more coats after I get the air conditioners and fantastic fans off. I will add dicor one sided repair tape over the end cap seals and coat the top and from end cap to end cap. I do not think I will sand and add dicor to the end caps as they are pretty shiny do not look like an issue. I do not want it to peel. The rest of the roof will be sanded and I will add repair tape around air conditioner and fantastic fan holes then coated with one coat of dicor elastomeric coating for fiberglass roofs then reinstall the air conditioners with new gaskets and sealing tape on the fantastic vents. Hopefully this will keep the water out. I forgot I also will reseal the moon roof over the shower. Unfortunately the air conditioners have done their damage to the roof as they have water standing near them from years of weight. All I can hope to do is keep the water from seeping thru where it is standing. I cannot see how I could raise the roof in low spots.
