Unit has been performing flawlessly until today. Getting warm water, but not the hot we are used to. Any ideas?

Lawrence it sounds like you're tempering valve is stuck.

I agree with Eric, If the mixing valve is 18 years old, good possibility the hot side could be partially plugged. Another situation I have run into is the former owner (or someone) has replaced the outside hand held shower with a kitchen type sprayer. The issue with this set up, you can open both the hot and cold faucet and not know they are turned on. If that is the case you now have a mixing manifold that is allowing luke warm water to enter the hot side plumbing. Hope this helps, Fred

Mixing valve normally on back of unit. It should have an adjustment on it. Some times turning it back and forth will correct the problem. Just be sure to leave adjustment in same position you found it.
