Diagnostic data link
« on: February 19, 2022, 02:55:50 PM »
I purchased a Bluefire adapter for data monitoring from my ECM. I have a 1998 Marquis. I have 6 pin data link. I have the 6 to 9 pin connector. I hooked it up at my data link in the rear compartment of my coach and everything is working. The distance to my tablet is at the maximum when I have it near the drivers sear. I sometimes lose the Bluetooth connection. Is there a way to boost the Bluetooth distance. Can I have an extender in the rear room that would then get to my tablet? I can’t find a 6 pin data link in the coach. I’ve read that there should be one under the dash near the steering column but I can’t find one. Should there be one inside? If so, where is it located?

Yours is an older model, but ours is indeed directly under the dash access port.  Offering this in hopes it proffers some guidance:
