Colored drain hoses under coach
« on: May 11, 2022, 09:06:41 PM »
Hello:

Can anyone tell me what the red and blue drain hoses are that under the (mid drivers side) on our 2005 Beaver Marquis?

The red one drips a little when the Aqua Hot is on.

Thanks

I assume you are referring to the small diameter hoses below the wet bay.  Those are the low-point-drains for the pressure water system.  Your leak implys that water is being forced around the shut off valve in your Manabloc.  Check to see that the valve is correctly shut off.  If it is shut off but still leaking, you will have to replace the internals of the valve.

Richard is right, Michael.  Although a bad valve is possible if closed during sub-freezing weather and cracked, it’s likely the “Hot” (red) side low point drain isn’t fully closed;  bottom left in the photo.  Some coaches have slightly different setups, but you get the idea.  The black center of the valve should be pointed vertically, up and down, to be fully closed.

You both were correct the valve hot side valve was not closed all the way.

Thanks for your quick response.  I believe you have to be a trained engineer to work on these rigs.

However, this was an easy fix......
