Front roof AC
« on: May 10, 2022, 09:31:09 PM »
Would anyone know the model number or serial number of my front roof AC? I checked the technical documents online but cannot find anything. I know it is dual ducted 13,500 BTU. I need to replace it but cannot find any numbers on top or underneath. Thanks in advance.

Just go with the Penguin II models from Dometic. You can get one in 13.5 k or 15k, with or without heat pump. YOu may have to upgrade to a new thermostat too.

Yep, that’s what I was thinking too but the service guy wants the model number so he can order it before I travel 60 miles with the coach to get it installed. It’s weird I can’t find a model or serial number.

Thanks for the help guys. I think I will get a unit without a heat pump, because I would never use it. I also believe a 13.5 BTU would be adequate. Based on your input… i will tell the guy to order a Domestic Penguin II RV Air Conditioner 13,500 BTU - White 640315

Thanks to George Harwell! He called me and told me where to find the model number for the AC which is on the cabinet door of the bathroom sink…. duh, Lol. . I was able to cross reference and get the right one. It is the Domedic 640315CxxC10. I am toying with the idea of putting it in myself but it is actually a two-man job lifting it and placing it on top. I will likely have someone else do it who has plenty experience.

Bryan we have a old ac unit in the back . Neither of my ac units have a heat pump . When I replace the back one, if I update it to one with a heat pump , and a new thermostat. Does the breaker size and wiring need to be changed ?
Thank you
