2000 patriot thunder no start condition

I have a 2000 patriot thunder with a c12  that has no signal power to the ecu relay it has main power and ground to it just no signal from  switch. Not to sure where to look to trace down this issue

The first things to check are the ignition solenoid in the front electrical bay make sure that you have power on the ignition side buss bar with the key in the run position you could have a faulty ignition solenoid.
Before replacing that solenoid make sure there is a trigger signal come from the ignition switch to the solenoid to activate it.
There is also a circuit breaker #1 for the ignition switch on the always hot side of the electrical bay buss bars that feeds the ignition switch. And  circuit breaker #21 on the ignition buss bar which feeds the service bay front / rear selector switch and from there provides the trigger signal to the ignition relay located in the battery bay. It's not uncommon for the switch or wiring at the service bay panel to get corroded and fail.

Where is the ECM relay located? I'm not seeing in the wiring diagrams.

We don't have wiring diagrams for the 2000 patriot and the 2002 doesn't show the ECM relay or wiring.
How ever in the 1996 Patriot wiri g diagrams on page 18 the ECM relay and wiring are shown.
On my 1997 Patriot that relay is mounted in the upper left rear corner of the battery bay attached to the frame work there.
As I stated earlier the trigger signal for that relay is routed through the service bay front / rear selector switch.
And that switch is exposed on the back of the service panel to the elements causing problems with the switch and or wiring connections.
With that said the 2000 year model may be different but I doubt it.

I looked in the 2000 Marquis diagrams as the chassis should be the same. Since jumpering the relay starts the engine, seems that a bad relay is most obvious cause and simplest fix or Jason could also apply 12v to the coil terminal on the relay. If it starts, the trigger signal is missing, if no start, bad relay. Hopefully he'll let us know of solution.

found the issues 8 pin deutsch connector  behind battey box next to leveling valves came loose
