Hydraulic pump
« on: November 20, 2023, 01:43:28 PM »
Would anyone know how the hydraulic pump is driven on my 2002 PT that powers the power steering and radiator fan?  Is the pump belt driven or direct gear driven?

Fred, I did have a 06 PT with 2 pumps gear driven, I think your is a 1 pump system from the engine PTO

Thanks Jerry. Does this mean it’s belt or gear driven?

Most of the threads regarding failed power steering hydraulic pumps that I have read about here on the Forum seem to have been spline-driven with the pump housing bolted onto the engine over the spline-driven PTO.
