Sealand Magnum Opus 3010 Manual Flush
« on: December 08, 2023, 09:53:48 AM »
flushing my toilet stopped working and the circuitboard switches don't open it either.  The manual says that there should be a hole in the side of the bowl to allow manually turning the flush mechanism.  i have a hole on each side both placed to work the toilet lid nuts 6 bolts.  the is no other hole.  i need to empty the contents of the bowl to remove the toilet and install a new one.  is there a way to manually flush this model or am i stuck with scooping it out into a bucket?

Thanks for any help.

On the left side of the toilet (looking at it from the bowl) there should be a hole.  I don't remember if it requires an allen wrench or socket, but I found it very hard to operate.  Remove the cover in the back and make sure there are no lit lights indicating a problem and requiring a reset.  I do not remember the steps to take if one is lit, but it should be in the manual.  I, also, found that the micro-switches for opening and closing were the cause of my problems.  You had to remove the toilet. Never could get them adjusted correctly and neither could a good RV repair tech.  Replaced it finally with an old style foot pedal flush.

Thanks Roy.  I don't but there no hole on either that allows access to the flush mechanism.  The only holes on both sides access the toilet seat bolts and nuts.  Too far back to reach the bolt to turn the flush. I'll ry calling Dometic today.

I have the same Sealand 3010 and the access hole for manual operation is located on the left side above the floor mount bolt.

Some dirt but no hole on this one. I took the model number from the equipment inventory sheet stuck inside the medicine cabinet. Brss cap is off screw in preparation foe toilet removal.

Our Sealand has the same access Gene showed. However, the hole didn’t line up with the manual flush shaft. I had to go in from the backside, it was tight but doable. The manual flush shaft has a 7/16” (could be 3/8”) plastic hex on the end of it, this is you will need to rotate.

You might check to see if your Sealand has this same shaft.

New controllers are available for the Sealand Opus toilet from Northwest RV Supplies in Eugene Oregon or through Monacoers forum.
