I cant find the shut off for a water drain

(1/2) > >>

Mike Berg:
I have a 1998 Bever Patriot 40 ". IN the center of the MH 2 feet behind front wheels are 2 drains. On is in the pan and that one is OK. The other one is right next to it andit is a rigid pPVC pipe that goes up. When I am on city water it is a steady stream of water coming out. Will flood the parking lot in 5 miniutes so heavy flow. I had a guy looking at my waterheater . Any Idea what valve got opened to cause this?

It sounds like you are filling your fresh water tank and then the water is going out the overflow pipe.  If you have a fill valve for filling the fresh water tank, check that.  Or, you may have a check valve that is allowing the fresh water tank to fill when you do not want it to.
Richard

p.s. Did you by chance grow up south of Seattle?

Mike Berg:
Thanks for reaching out. I grew up in San Luis Obispo Ca. I can beleive the fresh water is full because I did try and fill it but water keeps coming out it seems no mater what I do with city water on. I know it is somthing I have done as I get to know this rig. Maybe overthinking

Carl Boger:
Mike on mine the plastic pipe is a ABS drain for the fresh water tank and there is a valtera valve in the storage bay that will let the water drain out.  It is kind of hard to see and toward the middle of the coach.  If the fresh water fill is not fully turned off or is leaking water will continue to fill the fresh water tank.  If so it will either come out the overflow or the drain which as you noted are located close to each other.

Mike,
If you have an electric fill switch in the coach under the kitchen sink you can normally shut it off by pressing it down.  Turn your kitchen faucet on and see it that reduces or increases flow.  If that doesn't work try turning it off then back on.  Also try with the same switch in the water bay and possibly in your bathroom.  I know I have to operate the switch once to start to fill then again a full on/off to stop the cycle.  If nothing else works, turn off the water to the coach and use your pump until you need to refill.
