Aquahot 600D Furnace issues
« on: April 24, 2026, 05:30:57 PM »
We have our 2008 Beaver Patriot Thunder (Brandywine) out for a much needed preventative maintenance trip before we head out for long trips. I have received such great help to my questions on our inverter issues that I am reaching out again with a question on our furnace. It is an AquaHot 600D. We have 4 zones and the first zone blows cold air - at the front of the coach. The second zone does not work at all - in the kitchen area, middle of the coach. The third zone in the bedroom works beautifully. The fourth zone in the back bath works beautifully. We were going to try to service it ourselves but even the kit looks daunting. We have not seen a lot of mouse droppings or signs of varmint issues but we aren't ruling that out. It just seems strange that 2 of the zones work and 2 don't. Before we take her in to an Aquahot specialist, I was hoping we could get some input from others who might have had similar issues. Thanks in advance!! Ante and Ginny Peros

First, there is a 3 speed fan switch on the cluster in the kitchen area. Off, low, medium, high. Make sure that switch is on when thermostat is calling for heat. Second, on top of the Aqua Hot, there are check valves that get stuck closed occasionally. Tap lightly on the check valves of the lines that are not hot. A screwdriver handle or wood dowel that won’t damage the check valve. Lightly is the key word. Try that first. If no joy, then make sure pumps are turning inside Aqua Hot housing. This involves removing part of the surrounding cabinet of the unit itself. Hope this helps, good luck!

Thank you! We will let you know if that works. We are in the middle of re-mounting our refrigerator. The furnace is next! Ante and Ginny Peros
