Water pump switch

I have (1) water pump switch.  Not one in water bay or bathroom.  Only one in kitchen.  I always turn off when not in use for fear of a leak.  Never seen one not in bathroom.  Very unhandy when dumping, and having to go inside to turn switch on, to flush tanks and hose.  Am i missing something?

Why are you using the water pump when dumping tanks?  If you have hookups why not use the pedistal water source, much MORE pressure than the water pump has.

Also, No heat outlet in bathroom.  Just bought it,  I still must be missing something.

On my Monterey I added a pump switch in the bathroom and also an the panel outside. No heat in the bath though,

We have no seperate heat to toilet room either, but leaving the door open (while parked) I think is the idea behind the design.  The gap at the door bottom is enough to keep ours acceptable except in the coldest of weather anyway.  We noticed the cool toilet room when the coach was purchased new (October '06), but just learned to leave the door open in very cold weather while parked - no big deal unless you park your rear in the throne room for extended periods in the winter.

You should consider installing a secondary pump switch in your utilities bay, like our '06 Monterey and others have.  I'm very surprised an '04 Patriot doesn't have one.  The other solution is to not fret so much about possible leaks, and leave the pump on most of the time.

Jim, could you elaborate on how you installed the two additional switches in your '03 Monterey? Did you use an Intellitec relay? How did you route the wires?

Marc, I did not use the relay although that would be the best way. I routed the wires from the main switch. Would have to check how I ran them since it been a while, but if I remember it was not difficult. The only problem with the way I did mine is that you have to turn the pump off at the same switch you use to turn it on. With the relay I believe you can turn it on and off at any switch.
