We just replaced our 12-yr-old unvented Splendide combo with a new 7100 model (also unvented). I didn't want to deal with a vent installation, particularly the issue of how to access it for cleaning.
I wanted to let everyone know that the new unit is like night and day compared to the old one. Clothes dry much more quickly and they really dry. Also, the drum capacity is significantly increased. I looked at the Splendide website and the old unit was only rated at 6-8 pounds for drying while the new one claims 8-11 pounds and is quite capable of performing on that claim.
