Jim the wood trim panel will pull off and expose most of the wires

Hi Jim, I had a hard time grasping what someone told me a while back on how to access wires in my front cap. What Jerry is trying to get you to do is remove the wooden face plate directly above your front cabinets. It looks like it shouldn't come out but its held in by a couple of clips and you can just pull it off to access everything in there. I stared at it for about 20 minutes before I pulled it out.

That's the idea Bernie it really looks like part of the coach but it's just a trim panel. I am not sure what Jim will be doing once he pulls the panel but the wires run over head and are tie wrapped going over to the TV/DVD/Tape boxes. It will be hard to pull new wires if your looking at this for a TV change. I think it may be done if you can get one wire to move.

FYI the front TV is pre HD so the wire is not really a HD.

thanks for all the replies.   the original owner had already run an hdmi cable from the tv and there is also a componet cable which will cary hd. so i'm good to go on that but how do you get to the power receptacle?  i'm still not seeing the removable wood panel.  the panel inside the front cabinet doesn't allow access to the wiring.  i guess i'm blind.  lol    jim.

Hi Jim,

The trim panel is above your cabinets, it's about 6 inches high and 6 or 7 feet long. Unless you have a modified cabinet, it should be the same. If you can take a picture of your front cabinets with the TV up we can tell. I can send a picture of mine a little later.

Jim  I did stop by my  rig to look at the molding for you, let's call it the crown molding above the front cabinets it is held in place by
one catch on each side you will need to pull on the molding from the top straight back it will move only about 3/4" and then you can
drop the 6"x 7foot molding down past the front cabinet doors.

Once this is down you will find all your tv hook ups.
if you need to call me this is fine just let me know.

Jerry
