Tom,
I agree with the view point of weighing each tire location, no only for correct tire pressure, but to prevent overloading the tire itself. My 2000 Marquis is 1100 pounds different from one side to the other on the drive axle, and over 500 pounds on the steer axle. This kind of weight variation can result in a serious issue if you just weigh the total axle load and divide it in half to get the tire load.
