Front Wheel Moon Dust Caps
« on: May 02, 2013, 08:31:36 PM »
Last fall when I had some work done on my coach they lost one of the moon dust caps off the front wheel. I called the people who had done the work and had  taken it directly to the storage facility and he said he would look after it. Today when I went to pick it up both caps were missing. After tracking the guy down who had done the work and stored it he admitted that he had taken the other one and had now lost it as well as he was trying to find a replacement for the first one. He told me he had tried everywhere and could not replace them. Does anyone have any ideas where I can find two of these covers? They are the standard covers with the emblem on them that came from the factory. I have a 2009 Monterey Sunset. I'm not very happy with the guy who lost both of them but I want them replaced so any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks Tom

You can also get them from a Freight-liner shop.

Tom,

We just picked one up at Monaco Parts Dept in Coburg when we came thru. The cap was about $14 and the emblem was a buck fifty. Had in stock, 10 minute deal. NW Rv supply in Eugene also has them for slightly less.

I have oil bath seals on the front hubs and want to be able to check the sight glass (plastic!).  I found the moon dust caps at a Peterbuilt store in Seattle.  I no longer have an emblem.   They were inexpensive.
