MRR3 started on Dec 3, 2009 with 15 coaches and 28 participants meeting in the parking lot (with their coaches and toads) of the Altamonte Springs Mall in Altamonte Springs, Florida. We had lunch at the Seasons 52 Fresh Grill; yummy turkey burger with Portabella mushrooms, salad, pomegranate tea (Peter and I) and mini indulgences (desserts). Peter especially loved the chocolate decadence. In the afternoon, we attended ICE at the Gaylord Palms complex. It was nine degrees inside of ICE. BRRRRRRRR!!!!! A fun time was had by all. After the cold we were treated to hot cocoa.
Day 2 saw us headed to Winter Springs to see the fabulous collection of Tiffany glass at the Morse Museum. No photos allowed. For lunch we went to The Bistro on Park Avenue for spinach and chicken crepes, asparagus and frozen lemon gelato. Rain couldn't keep us down so we then went to the Polasek home and museum to see his sculptures and art.
We are currently parked at the Wekiwa Springs State Park campground but tomorrow the driver's meeting will tell everyone where we will move and what our next adventure will be. It's a mystery!!!!!!!!!! :)
Here are some fun photos of Beavers enjoying life!!!!!!!!!

Day 3 saw the rain begin to abate. We had a driver's meeting and found out we were headed to Ocala Florida, the horse capital of Florida. We had a wagon drawn by 2 Percherons tour of some local horse farms and then had barbecue (chicken and ribs) out under the trees. Cold and brisk but we enjoyed our day. :P

Day 4 saw us having breakfast at Piccadilly's. Then on the the New England Shire Centre. What gentle giants they are. At the 4:30 pm Happy Hour we had a warming fire and heavy horses duffers. It's great to be in the woods here at Silver River State Park near Ocala Florida.

Day 5 found us gathering for a driver's meeting. Where to next? Why Paynes Prairie State Park near Micanopy and Gainesville, Florida. We had an afternoon lecture by a state forest ranger who explained how Florida Crackers got their name. They "cracked" the whip to control their cattle.  We had a great dinner at the Old Florida Cafe in Micanopy. We had salad, chili, black beans and rice and yummmmmy desert. I had apple pie with ice cream.
