We've used DirecTV for a long time, but a week ago we got our Trav'ler converted to SWM and had a new Genie DVR installed. It's an impressive device, connected by only one cable to the dish which is sufficient to run 5 tuners all of which can record different channels. So no matter what we want to record and watch, it's not a problem. Furthermore, if we want to add additional TVs (right now we only have one) they can be "connected" using wireless clients that can access all the recorded material on the DVR. The upgrade was at no cost to me as part of a DirecTV offer to subscribers who have completed their current contracts.
