On the subject of fuel, we have noticed that on I-5 in California and I-10 in Arizona several independent truck stops have fuel for around $.25 cents a gallon less than Pilot-Flying J. If you are purchasing 100+ gallons, this can add up to enough to buy a dinner out. Ever since Pilot purchased Flying J their prices has been creeping up.
You still need to be careful to buy in a station that sells a lot of fuel to avoid a bad tank. Stay away from out of the way stations that sell low volume.
