RVA pump replacement

We finally got around to replacing the motor/pump assembly we had purchased from RVA a few months ago (since we have been parked for a few months the delay didn't matter).  Dennis Kay at RVA sold me a pump assembly without a manifold which saved lots of $$ and avoided the need to concern ourselves with exactly what manifold configuration had been used by Beaver/SMC.  The new pump mated easily to the existing manifold.

The job only took ~6 hours which is pretty amazing considering how tight things are in the vicinity of the pump.  For those who might have to consider doing this at some time in the future, the key to getting it done turned out to be removal of the paper towel dispenser in the right rear bay.  The couple of times previously that we've had to have something done with the RVA system, no one had realized that removal of the towel dispenser would provide a vital access to the pump.  Its removal and loosening the left side of the battery bay wall provides two-handed access to the pump.

The bottom line is that the pump was installed for slightly less than its cost of ~$750 which was less than I had feared.  It's amazing how quietly the slide moves and jacks deploy now that the squealing pump has been squelched.
