When replacing the shower skylight do you replace with the double insulated dome or is just the single satisfactory? I think the double. Am I right in this issue.?
Thanks

If the interior bubble is OK you need not replace it. Generally you will have to order one. I recently replaced mine in Surprise, AZ. Ordered it from a company in Colorado for about $150.00 including shipping.

Recommend you replace both. If you don't have a seal between them you can get condensation that will seep into the coach. I replaced the one in my 01 Contessa with a unit from BCS for ~$180.

I received excellent service from www.globalplastics.ca when I had to have an obsolete RV skylight made to order. You could also try: http://www.eztopsworldwide.com/rvskylights.htm

I had it made of quarter inch acrylic - it was stronger than the roof.

Carl,
There is no way that a single layer skylight will function to the standards that you expect in a Beaver coach. The heat transfer and condensation problems will be unacceptable.

When we had our Patriot (manufactured by Beaver, not SMC), we needed a skylight and Monaco didn't have the part.  We ordered one from AIA Industries in Colorado.  Gerald called and talked to them and it fit perfect and was very reasonably priced.
