Air Bags part number needed
«

I have a 1992 Beaver Baronet that has the original air bags. I am trying to replace them. When I search the Firestone #'s on the Air Bags I can't match the piston #. I have called Gilig and they will only give me the Gilig part #. I am trying to find the Firestone replacement #. Does anyone know where I can cross reference the two #'s.
The Gilig #'s are 53-15085-028 (original part #) and 82-19869-000 (updated part #) the Firestone # is 1T15S-6 NBD-10421 9848 (these are the #'s on the Original Air Bag.
I tried Google to find a cross reference guide with no luck.
Any information is welcomed. We need to replace before we can get on the road again.
Thanks

You could try calling Monaco, but Beaver Coach Service parts guys are pretty savvy, and may have cross-reference books available to them.

Bob,
Usually, a parts store that specializes in heavy duty truck and bus parts will have no problem in cross-referencing the part numbers to ones that are currently available.

Thanks for all the help.
I talk with Firestone teck. and found out they don't make the bag any more. Also that Gillig holds the rights for that bag. He told me that if I could find one better get it, because there is no replacement So looks like a call to Gillig parts dept.

Bob, my Beaver is the same age. I was wondering about the life of the air bags. What made you decide to change the bags? Did one or more start leaking?

Terry,
You misread the year model of Bob's coach. His coach is 10 years older than yours, it is a 1992 model.
