10k generator problems

My generator is shutting down on code 36.  Corrective actions are as follows : 1. check fuel level.  2. prime fuel system for one minute.  3.Check all fuel fittings for fuel and air leaks.  4. check and clean air filter.  5. Replace fuel filter.  I have done all of the actions. I even replaced the drive belt and the Temp. sender switch. The generator is still shutting down on the same code. It runs and shuts down at different times : 10min , 30 mins. , 2 Hrs.  I am running 2 A/C's or 3 when it is running. I was wondering if anyone ever ran across this problem. If so I would love to hear from you.  If not , I guess I will have to find a Onan dealer in the area and bring it to them. I live in  Baton Rouge , La. . If anyone knows a good Onan service dealers in this area I would appreciate a name.  I am trying to get ready for football tailgating at LSU .  Go Tigers !!!!!  I would appreciate any information. John,
You should be able to determine if your fuel pump is loosing power, if so running a switched external 12 volt supply to it would get you up and going until you have more time and money for a permanent repair.

I just wanted to inform everybody that it ended up being the Main Electronic Board.
Generator runs forever now !!!!!  I will make sure the Heat dissipator Fins on the board stay clean.
I say this because the old board Fins were coated with dirt big time.

uhhhh... where is the board located?  Can we get to it easily to clean it once in awhile?  I would guess cleaning it means to use either an air tank or a can of compressed air like used to clean the interior of a desktop computer... not a vacuum cleaner, eh?

CRC makes several electronic parts cleaner in spray cans that dry quickly and leave no residue. This type of cleaner would be my choice for a circuit board and heat sink. Limit the amount you spray on plastic parts if you can. Most automotive supply places that carry CRC will have a version on hand. With the wand you get a very directional controllable spray. There is a version called Electro Clean also y CRC.

Do not get CRC Electro-Motive. It is meant for motors and is death on plastic parts, especially switches.

I have used several of the CRC electronic solvent cleaning products where they state use caution on plastics. I use the wand clean what is necessary without the plastics getting much overspray and all has been fine. Steve has a point though and some caution is in order. I have not seen the configuration of the board so if a lot of plastics are involved then CRC has other options. In particular the contact cleaners are generally safe for plastics CRC PN 03070 would be fine or PN03125.

The board is mounted  behind the Radiator Reservoir toward the front of the Generator. It can be access through the Maintinance side Door. I just used my air compressor to blow all of the dirt and dust out of the compartment. The circuit board is sealed with some type of  epoxy.
