Bluetooth Linking To Bose System
« on: November 30, 2014, 03:45:36 PM »
Most of us are using some form of phone, Ipad, or whatever to play music today. A very inexpensive method is available to Bluetooth link (that works really well) to a Bose system or really any audio system with an open high level input (Tape, Aux, or an available Video Input using just the audio red and white inputs).

This Bluetooth module comes with a mini 3.5mm headphone plug to RCA cable and cost under $30. I use this system with my Iphone in the motorhome and I have one set up in my shop to a component stereo system. In my case my Beaver has a Lifestyle 50 system that has an interface with RCA inputs in an overhead cabinet on the passenger side. It was very easy to permanently install this option, just plug it in and use 120V or a 12V USB adapter and pair it with your phone or Ipad.

You need 120V for a plug in supply that comes with the unit or any USB supply that runs on 12V. There are many cigarette lighter adapters with a USB plug in now, like this one. This makes this unit a very adaptable install wiring wise.

I play Pandora or my ITunes while on the road but there are many radio stations, news services, or audio books available to stream or download. If you have a favorite local radio station from a home base or where you grew up, many stream online now. With a Velcro dot you can attach your phone to the center of the steering wheel while traveling or have your companion handle the music. Thought I would pass this along in case anyone had the need...
