MP Filtri Hydraulic Filter
« on: February 19, 2014, 02:30:52 AM »
On the Thunder the hydraulic filter is a MP Filtri unit which had filter # CSG-100P-10A which is a 10 micron filter, well ever since I've had this thing when you start up cold it will trip the pressure differential indicator, when the oil finally heats up the button would stay down. So today I gave MP Filtri a call to see if I could speak with tech support and find out what gives. Got the guy on the line and told him what the system was in and guess what he said before I even asked? Pops the diff button because they spec'd the wrong filter from the get go,,,go figure. First he asked how much room I had below the filter? I have all kinds of room so he said use filter CSG-150A-25A which is a couple of inches longer and flows a lot more which will (should) eliminate the thing going into by pass when cold. Ordered one up and we'll see what happens.

How did you end up? I am about to replace the same filter.

Thanks
