You might try here:  http://www.appliancepartspros.com/search.aspx?q=ice machine ice dispenser&apptype=refrigerator

The only numbers on it are 385 07 92 on the back of the front panel, and 385 07 89 on the back lip of the bucket.  Keep in mind that mine dispenses ice but not water like slightly later models do.  I would not think that affects the bucket assembly.

I am told we are looking for a Whirlpool/U-Line unit used in a residential fridge, but have no idea which brand or model to cross reference.

Joel,
Thx for the ice bucket info.
My engine is an 06 version w/o the DPF.

That 385 part no. prefix, Steve, is on other refer parts too, including shelves, etc., so I don't know how annealed the bucket is to a Whirlpool or U-Line number.

Mike,
If memory serves me, it was running w/i 10 degrees of engine temp; lower when cruising and higher when climbing or traffic that required frequent gear changes.

Steve-

The darned ice dispenser bucket is friggin' hard to find!  One thing is there is more than one version of the 1402;  is yours an NDA1402B?  Some models came with dispensers and others with just buckets.  I found a parts book for a 1402, but it doesn't have the dispenser, just a bucket:      http://67.238.126.140/pdf/3309892.002.pdf     page 7.

On another forum there's a fellow that took his bucket out in favor of Rubbermaid trays (don't ask me how that's gonna work), and seems to be leaning toward offering it if it will work for you.  But we probably need to match models first to be sure.  If yours has an actual in-the-door dispenser, it's likely a 1402B, and I'm not sure yet which model he has.  I don't know if a plain bucket will fit in a B model due to its auger drive sticking out from the freezer back wall, and maybe other variables.

Here's some links another fellow offered, although I didn't see my bucket assembly:

Joel,
I found the parts list for the ice/water in door NDA-1402. If you want a copy let me know. Also found out from someone at Dometic that there is a replacement icemaker available for $170. Part# is 3313470.080. Again according to Dometic, the ice maker was supplied by Mid South Electric but they couldn't (wouldn't?) give me any added info. Lots of Mid South Electrics around but did find one that supplied ice makers but couldn't confirm Dometic as customer nor could they find icemaker  or dispenser (#921148262) per the part numbers. Alliance RV FL hasn't returned my calls. After spending a couple hours on the search yesterday, I think I'll take a shot at Whirlpool and Frigidaire to see if they have a unit that looks similar. Maybe they will be a bit more helpful than Dometic.

You bet, I could use the parts list, although mine dispenses ice and not water.

I don't understand why Dometic isn't more help locating the part;  the fridge isn't that old a model.  Didn't think they were related to Carefree.   ???  And it shouldn't be $170 for just the bucket/auger assembly.  When the bucket cracked on our home's 30c.ft. GE a few years back, GE sent me a new bucket/auger assembly for $35.

RV/Boat prices are almost always 3 to 5 times home versions - that's why many people replace RV appliances with home versions.   >:(
