Successful gear selected repair
« on: September 17, 2015, 12:31:12 AM »
Ijust want to give credit where credit is due.  Dating back several years we've been having trouble with the gear shifter not responding as it should in our 3208 CAT turbo.  After all these past months of hassling the shifter not knowing if it would go into gear we finally arrived at Branson.  After one day there I was asking Dave Atherton about the problem and he indicated he could take alook at it in the afternoon.  After a couple of hours he had the shelter pins adjusted so they were not grooved (not making contact) and the slop taken out of the linkage.  Now all is working like new.  I want to share and thank Dave for his knowledge about Caterpillar engines.  Today he presented an excellent seminar on the proper maintenance of our engines.  I can't thank him enough.  Just wanted to pass this along to all. :-X

Great service Dave and let me encourage you folks to make a video and paste it on the forum for those of us that cannot be there.
