new radiator replacement
« on: June 05, 2016, 05:26:28 PM »
I have a 2003 Beaver Monterey needing a new radiator. During routine service at Cummins this week I had them check a coolant drip and they found the radiator is failed at one tank/core end and is not repairable. I have a quote for new radiator from Beaver Coach Sales at $3,875 plus $175 shipping. Do any fellow BAC members have info. on any other sources I can check with? It is in the Cummins shop now in torn down so I need to act ASAP.
Thanks,

Sorry to hear about your problem, I have been in the same spot. I did have BCS R&R my radiator total bill was a little over 8K. I don't know the name but a shop in Portland will make a new unit all metal. You may want to check with some local shops.

Our rig is an 06 PT.

I had my side radiator replaced at source engineering in Coberg for $7 grand all in.( copper/Brass) they were the  cheapest at the time.  Peterson Cat In Eugene told me later they could have beaten that price and did a lot of them . At the time BCS was the most expensive bid by over a grand.

I got a bid last week from Radiator Supply House in Sweet Home OR for a radiator for our  2004 PT.   $3950 for Steel/Copper.  It would take 2-3 days to build.
