Indoor AC
« on: August 02, 2016, 12:29:31 AM »
We're near Houston and it is hot and humid. DW is not a happy traveler, even w/the roof units running. While I've id'd a couple of areas where I can improve the insulation in the engine compartment, I don't think that will solve the "problem". Has anyone tried an indoor AC unit? They seem pretty efficient but the need for venting when driving presents a problem w/o an obvious solution. Thought about venting through the drier but that would require a couple of open doors when driving.  Not good.  Any ideas welcomed...
Now to get the reefer running w/o dry ice...   (Hint..stay north of I20 in August..)
Thx,  Steve

Not sure how it works but Costco was selling an indoor cooler or a/c that I am fairly sure didnt need exterior venting.  When we were last there in summer we used wet towels on our necks and had fans on us.

FYI it is 56 degrees on the Olympic coast tonight.  Lol
