Any idea what this is?
« on: September 07, 2016, 07:36:39 PM »
I found this while walking around the coach, after we parked. It was next to the street side living room slide, on the ground. Didn't see anywhere obvious that it fell off our coach. Perhaps from a previous occupant of this campground. ?

Thanks,

Stan

It looks like a stop - used to push on a button (switch) when something has moved as far as it's supposed to move.

When we had problems with our bedroom slide in November 2015 while in Houston I noticed two of these threaded, adjustable stops under the bed.  When the bed had moved full in or full out, then one of the stops pushed on a button (switch) which stopped continued movement of the slide.

The difference in your picture is the pad or adhesive on the flat end.  Is that a pad or adhesive?  Those stops under our bed did not have this pad or adhesive.

Its adhesive or silicone or some kind of epoxy.

Look under the couch. It looks like the bolt used to bolt the couch down. When I took the couch out to put my Dog crate in, the bolts look like that one.

We pulled out 4 of those when removing our couches. You should see the hole under the slide where it was.

Thanks for the replies, all. A real quandry now. Our sofa was in the curb-side slide. We moved it months ago to the street-side slide. All of the bolts and fastening hardware were removed, and put in a one quart plastic storage bag, labeled and put away. The sofa is not fastened down as it is now. There are no holes beneath the slide on the street-side. I guess this will remain one of life's little mysteries.
