Air Spring leaking
« on: October 01, 2010, 03:42:38 AM »
Just discovered front air spring leaking on 89 Marquis on Gillig Chassis.
Who do you recommend for replacing air bags? Can I do this myself?
How much should I expect to pay?
Has anyone done this job?

Appreciate the advice.

This is usually not a big deal to change out an air bag with proper equipment. Any reputable Truck frame and axle shop can do it. What is your location?

The air bags can be changed by the average "handyman / mechanic" with the right tools, but it can be dangerous, so if you have no suspension experience you should  get some help from someone with the knowledge of how to support the coach safely when changing the air bag. Remember that the leveling jacks are not considered as a safe support when you are working on the coach, so you should have a redundant support for safety.
