Overhead Lights
« on: June 27, 2017, 05:19:22 PM »
Just starting to sort this one out. Three Fluorescent fixtures in main cabin not working. Replaced with LEDs a few months ago and everything worked fine (removed 2 fluorescent bulbs and replaced with one LED in each of three fixtures). Recently started to see them flicker when water pump was turned on. Now they are out completely except for a faint glow. 12V circuit shows good BUT no red light when fuse is removed. Suggestions on where to start PLEASE.

There are more than one type of LED bulbs. But the ones I'm familiar with require the ballast from the fixture to be removed. If this was not done and the LED bulbs were installed the Ballast most likely fried the LED's with repeated use.

I left the balasts in, but cut the wires to the bulb.
