SCS Frigette coach step
« on: February 28, 2017, 07:25:03 AM »
Does anyone know where a new step assembly like this is available?  I understand Lippert owns it now and I have a recall kit but I must have scraped it on the crown of the road so it stopped working.  At this time it is stuck in the out position.  Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks

Keith,
This write-up might help. http://beaveramb.org/acadp_listings/entry-step-problems/
Suggest you disconnect the 4 way connector feeding the step and see if you can push step in manually and see where binding is occurring.

Thanks Steve, will look into that in greater detail.
The results so far are good.  Got the controler dried out and the magnetic switches cleaned and working again.
I also believe that the motor is getting weak so the dirt buildup was having a big effect too.  Straightened the lower step bracket but that will need welding soon.  Meanwhile the step is working thank God.
