Allison output shaft seal
« on: April 05, 2017, 03:16:37 AM »
I just pulled the driveshaft to have balanced and checked and hopefully eliminate a nasty vibration between 55 & 60 mph. (Heavy pita). I am considering trying to replace the Allison output shaft oil seal..slight irritating drip.... anyone been here before??  Is it simple as an automotive output shaft seal??

John

We had a 02 Marquis with the C 12 and 4000 family Allison.  When the output seal went it was barely dripping  but I hate that as do most RV parks.  I had it replaced which took about 1/2 hour.
